Jazz Club
Jazz Club
The “Jazz Club” was created by analyzing a piece of jazz called “Lester Leaps In”. The design was literally developed from a graphical analysis of the musical piece. A two dimensional representation of the sheet music was created in ink. This was slowly developed in to a 2 dimensional yet multi-plane surface, further developed into a series of volumes, and finally a structure. The building itself – a jazz club with reception area and dance floor – would be located on an infill site in downtown Denver.
