Microspace

Microspace is a proposed addition to an existing one story flex creative office building in the heart of the Arts District on Santa Fe.  The program called for joining two separate buildings with a floating 8000 sf second story addition.  A two story glass and steel stair and elevator tower will be placed along 9th avenue to act as a beacon for pedestrians walking along Santa Fe Drive, giving Microspace better exposure for its retail, office, and artistic tenants.  The entire building will undergo a complete interior and exterior renovation, unifying the two existing buildings and the expansion into one cohesive design.  The design solution transforms two easily overlooked buildings into a vibrant and creative collaborative development.
