Resid Martorelli

This dwelling was created for a young couple eager to entertain, yet capitalize on efficiency of space and an open floor plan. Incorporating natural and traditional materials – wood, stone, stucco and glass the spaces are integrated in a rich composition of different axes generated by the particular characteristics of the region and legal restrictions of the site. It reaches harmony from the apparent chaos of levels, floors, facades, the juxtaposition of elements by bonding, the freedom of movement required by its owners and guests. Fragmented spaces and an overlapping of volumes make an indivisible unity. The house, planned for receptions and political gatherings, also shows a great talent to receive guests and entertain the client’s children of different ages.  Designed by Max Amaral
